Day 14 – Last Day in Thailand

Our last day in Thailand.  These 2 weeks have flown by and I’m ready for my own bed at home and we miss seeing everybody at home, but it’s a catch 22, we could easily of stayed longer.  We fell in love with Thailand and all the things it has too offer.  There are a lot of tourist in Thailand and I can now see the attraction.  We took it easy today, we even had breakfast in our hotel room, which was a first.  We have been going non-stop since we stepped off the plane, so the only thing we did today is venture out of the hotel to have lunch at Bua Restaurant by the river.  It was beautiful scenery and a delicious meal.  Thomas had some last minute shopping to do, so he didn’t join us for lunch.  We got to the airport around 10:00 p.m. our flight to Seoul is at 1:45 a.m.  The plane was packed, so Mark, Susan and I got an upgrade to the larger, reclining seats i.e. Morning Calm, now that’s the way to travel, Liz and Thomas got the exit row and Nat is staying in Thailand for another two weeks to conduct some business.  We had an 1 1/2 hour layover in Seoul before continuing on to Dallas.  Poor Thomas had a 9 hour layover to continue to Seattle.  All in all everything worked out and we all got home safe, but we’re missing Thailand and we can’t wait to get back there soon!!

Thailand is an absolutely fabulous place, the sight’s are amazing, the food is wonderful.  We went to restaurants and stayed away from the street vendors.  We drank only bottled water or soda and ultimately, none of us had any issues with upset stomachs.  The people are so friendly and kind and the thai massages were so great.  If you have the opportunity to get to Thailand, make sure it happens!!
